I've spent a good portion of my life in college and one of the most painful expenses is textbooks. You're usually on a skimpy budget anyway, eating Ramen and cereal to save money, and then you have to shell out $125 for a book about ancient Indian civilization. Ugh, painful!
One of the cardinal rules for using coupons is to match up your product coupons with store sales to get the most bang for your buck. You can try to match these on your own, but to get the best savings, you should utilize a service that will do this work for you. For a small fee each month, you can gain access to price data in your region and easily save thousands of dollars a year.
I just discovered a great new site that I think you'll like too. It's called Alice.com and they run on a similar concept to Amazon's Subcribe & Save. You get huge discounts for ordering direct from them and for agreeing to reminders when it's time to reorder. They also offer free shipping on all orders (but they do have a 6-item minimum when ordering). Check it out, I'm ordering K-Cups and fruit pouches today! :) If you register using the image below, you'll also receive a $10 credit after your first $50 spent on the site.
I recently made the switch from longish hair to short hair. I LOVE how easy it is and how much freedom it gives me but it does have one major drawback. I have to get it cut it a lot. I was either blessed or cursed (I haven't decided yet) with hair that grows super fast and now I have to get a cut about every 3 weeks. Although I miss the days of relaxing cuts at high-end salons, I now get the joys of finding a good deal on a cut! (Silver lining, right?)
